Very good image of the irony of having two opposing movements in the same town for the same demonstration… Unfortunately the man with the gun it’s not always the one who gets arrested.
Law enforcement and republicans do not support mass shootings. And antifa are a bunch of cowardly bullies who’d never do anything heroic like stopping a gunman killing innocent people.
It’s easy to tell someone has a mental issue after they open fire. But most anyone prior to that action is able to arm themselves with the ability to kill several in seconds, seems to me that is an obvious problem.
Okay, so if I grant the point that all these guys are mentally ill and right wing rhetoric is not a trigger, tell me again why they are entitled to own guns?
Oh yeah, background checks would be a violation of their constitutional rights and the denial of the right to “life and the pursuit of happiness” of their victims isn’t. (Because the Declaration of Independence does not have the force of law.) In the words of Yacov Smirnoff, “What a country!”
The false equivalence fools are out in force on these latest horrors. So what else is new? Why worry about solutions when you can just play the blame game?
I have not seen any discussion of Allen in this. Originally a small farm market town, it is now a Dallas suburb. The post 1950s “white flight” turned these towns into bedrooms, a couple decades at a time. First was Richardson, where Texas Instruments gave it some self-sufficiency. It has a large first and second generation population from Asia now. The flight moved next to Plano, where the South Fork ranch still gets some tourists. It got filled with a lot of multinational corporate headquarters and a somewhat cosmopolitan population to staff it. So, the flight continued up US 75 to Allen, which so far has remained essentially all white, but the future is apparent.
ANTIFA is in opposition to Nazi fascism and other forms of extreme right-wing ideology. If someone opposes ANTIFA it surely says a lot about that someone.

Haven’t you ever felt so angry that you could imagine your eyes bleeding? Try walking into a large group of people in the other guy’s shoes for once!

I have to wonder if antifa is people opposing fascism, or just FBI/police infiltrators.
