Pretty birdy?

The Kakapo or New Zealand Owl Parrot is around 2 feet tall, weights 5 to 9 lbs. and doesn’t fly. It’s endangered because among other things it has no defends from rats, pigs, and cats.

That parrot’s name? E. F. Hutton.

Parrots like that could solve world hunger crisis today.

We first didn’t see the snow owls at our local zoo due to their size.

Transitional creature from a dinosaur? Interesting find, if it’s true. Did the cartoonist just make that up?

This is true. I love the scientific name of this bird: Heracles inexpectatus. NatGeo referred to it as “squawkzilla,” which is just as good. The fossils were found in New Zealand.
