Is that just February 29 or the entire leap year?

Leap year is a whole year. Does that mean Pig will only eat healthy food on all 366 days in 2020?

If your food is too healthy, it might fight back. I prefer dead food.

Ok, the article says “Pick one day”. Pig says Leap Year. The logical assumption would be, the day that makes it Leap Year, or 2/29.

My late MIL’s birthday. She passed away at twenty, by the number of birthdays she’d had.

I guess Patis didn’t think his readers were smart enough to get the joke if the last panel was “Feb 29th”

He’ll eat healthy on Leap Year Day, and then attract Sadie Hawkins.

I have an acquaintance across the way whose daughter lost a surprising amount of weight on the “time diet”. She eats nothing before noon, nothing after 8pm. From noon to 8pm she can pretty much eat what she wants. The weight loss was surprising. I don’t know the additional details… only the results. She swears that’s all there is to it.

I heard of a diet wherein the key was mixing Metracal with Vodka. You didn’t lose any weight, but you really didn’t care.

Not to digress, but I remember my 2nd grade teacher noting that those people born on Feb 29th will often celebrate it on either Feb 28th or Mar 1st. A kid in our class with a birthday on Feb 28th said he was born on the 29th. We thought this was special until we figured out that since he was born in 1953 (and the 29th only pops up every four years on an even year) he was lying. Of course, I mentioned that my dad was a general in WWII (he wasn’t ).

Just heard on the news about some poor teenage boy in the UK who lost his vision, apparantly from eating nothing but junk food (fries, white bread and potato chips) for the last several years. A cautionary tale. https://people.com/health/teen-boy-developed-blindness-junk-food-diet/

Very much like the way you can stay young for a very long time if you just managed to be born on February 29th.

Since Leap Year Day (29 February) comes around only once every four years, Pig is being very smart in cutting himself the easiest possible diet deal….
