Somewhere this scenario is happening thanks to a kid hearing a bit of a political conversation.

The kid is smart. Our Canadian Prime Minister lost his majority in parliament largely because he was photographed in a black-face costume, some decades ago.

Some think there is safety in anonymity. Maybe so, maybe not.

So you are going as an insane person?

Make sure you don’t misappropriate any cultures either.

Well… zombies don’t vote – there’s that. Or an animal (just not a donkey or an elephant.)

There is not a single costume that will not offend someone somewhere… and then there are those that think the whole idea of Halloween is inspired by the Devil.

Back in the 80s and 90s, we had epic Halloween parties – spent weeks on sewing/building costumes. I can’t share any of those photos now because no doubt they’re “politically incorrect.” Sigh…

No matter what you do, 20 30 years from now society might look down on it.
