Wild turkeys are in a much more limited range than those inbred for market, and they’re a lot smarter! Which is why Franklin thought the turkey, not the eagle should be the national bird. Hmmm, so much of the population has gone the way of the turkey, fat and stupid, and they do have bonespurs.
