Shoot, there’s no little yellow banner at the bottom of the last panel indicating that this arc will be continued. And I wanted to find out what was gonna happen next with Mr. >U.
For me it is local news and The Weather Channel. Even the local news is getting bad. Two murders, one sentence was probation and the other was 1 whole year. Next they will be giving out medals if you kill someone.
I used to love to watch cooking shows going back to old Julia Childs, Graham Kerr (when he was galloping and drinking), Clarissa Dickson Wright and Jennifer Paterson (Two Fat Lady’s Cooking Show), Emeril (Bam!) LaGasse, and Justin “I gar-on-tee!” Wilson!
These show took my mind of the troubles in the world and put a smile on my face. I don’t know how many of their recipes I tried, although I did get some really good ideas. I always vicariously enjoyed the dishes they were creating and often had a good laugh when things didn’t go exactly to plan.
One of the worst hours I ever spent was during a pedicure when they had “The Price Is Right” on. Gawd, the people acted stupidly. Now I go on Saturdays when they have animal rescue/rehab shows on. My one hour of luxury a month should NOT be hell.
I love the food network. They helped me lose a lot of weight. I learned to eat less and watching the chefs gave me an appreciation for the little food I was eating. Quality, not quantity works.
A number of public waiting rooms (in my car dealership, for example) used to have Fox News on all the time, but I guess they got so many complaints that they decided to stop alienating their customers. Now what we get is the Home (99%) and Garden (1%) Network, which is boring as hell but won’t bother your blood pressure.

There is a risk of the food network leading to weight gain.

We tune in something else if D D & D appears. And it’s not envy. It’s virtual dyspepsia.

Notice how they don’t think of changing the channel to “off”.

Should have opted for The Cartoon Network.

the most amusing thing I remember from the Food Network is their running ads for Hot Pockets

Watching Guy Fieri is almost as bad as watching the news.

So that’s the reason cooking shows are popular. Can’t think of another good reason why, they’re more boring than baseball.
