Dear St. Peter’s Dog: MY (rescue) dog is curled up beside me on the sofa, sound asleep. And he’s already had his walk and a snack. And a tummy rub. And a scratch behind the ears.
This could go either way. Looking at it from the dog’s point of view, the dog might be from a puppy mill. He might like the guy or hate the guy. The dog might be neutered and it may or may not be OK with that.
Pascal’s wager depends on knowing/believing which deity is the one true deity. It’s always seemed wrong to me because there are so very many deities with dedicated followers… who cannot all be right.
According to Genesis, God gave man dominion over the Earth and all that’s in it. Dominion isn’t domination; it’s more like stewardship. God gave us a very nice planet and it’s our job to take care of it.
The Kepler telescope has discovered thousands of exoplanets, but very few, scientists speculate, are earth-like. Our planet is a rare gift. At any rate, none of them are in our back yard. It’s quite likely that our species will get only one shot at getting it right.
we are all sinners. our eternal rest is determined by taking absolute responsibility for our wrong doings, ask for forgiveness, and be the best you can be here on earth to others. God is not fooled by someone who asks for forgiveness just so he doesn’t enter the gates of hell. he knows your true inner being.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the reason for early men and women to separate the duties of life into hunting and gathering was to insure not only the survival of the species but it’s sanity. Men went out hunting and fishing to get away from their women. They preferred to avoid gathering because they learned at an early age that mom or sis would drive them nuts if they stayed to help gather food or any other things. I have seen my wife go thru caned food for over 5 minutes. Then ending up with the first can that she picked up. Then she accuses me of being impatient.

The ones who sponsor dog fighting don’t even make it THAT far. For them, it’s “THIS ELEVATOR IS GOING DOWWWWWNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnn!”

It was the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm. Snoopy had good memories of it. Sad that was replaced by a six story parking garage.

Frankly, that is pretty much exactly what I would like to see when I get there. Without the comedic supervision of course.

The man looks like a ‘farmer’, why? Not my perception of the owner of a puppy mill – Many are women.

What a great idea. I love that God is giggling behind the podium.
