Rat proves Goat right.

Dumb? No. Most naive or obvious? Definitely.

Social media kills civility and sanity.

Some systems have built in lag. Think of how quickly your house cools down once you lower the thermostat. If you get impatient and push the switch lower, you’ll eventually overshoot and get too cool. I think Goat’s right and that we humans with our social media instantaneaty may be pushing too fast and overshooting what we’re trying to aim for. In a metaphorical kind of way.

My platform is in a tree. I call it my treehouse.

No girls allowed!

With the always on media we may be too quick to act as we spent too much time on ranting or judging and too little time to learn an muse whether we got all the relative facts and have them put the into perspective.

Well, in fact, Goat said a very smart thing. Only two decades too late.

That’s an interesting idea. We’ve seen a few examples of how instant communication can help during crises; perhaps we’re now seeing how it can be a liability.

IT should have been called “anti-social” media.

I mean, not that much, but on some level he seems to care…a little.

Goat, it isn’t just possible, it’s likely. Look at what’s going on around us with the coronavirus scare. “CANCEL ALL THE THINGS!!!!”

Goat just said the smartest thing in the world. Social media is depriving us of our freedom of speech and our sanity.

ANOTHER REASON that I’m glad that I just have a dumb phone, you know, one you use to make PHONE CALLS on…

It’s too easy to blame social media for some of the idiots who use it.

Allow a fool his “15 minutes” and the result is 15 more fools.

I’ve spent my life avoiding idiots and annoying types. I don’t understand the current desire to allow these people into our lives via social media.

Recently Tweeted: Friends, Americans, countrymen, lend me your ears…. Careful our Fearless Leader doesn’t meet the same eventuality. Chance favors only the prepared mind. Only those with muscle-bound brains shall inherit the earth, but the wise will be a close second.

Crap – I was too late to be one of the first to post about this one. I ran out of Mt. Dew and Cheetos and my Mom wouldn’t go to the store for me…

I’d say that Goat is far from crazy, but Rat is right there next to him.
