Knox Foley vs. Derek “Slim” Chance: Derek had a slim chance of winning this one, what with his carefree, happy go lucky attitude and Knox Foley with his “go for the kill” attitude. Foley had an 8 point lead at halftime, but Slim thought he could squeeze in a short band gig across the street during the break. He got back for the second half late, and with his team shorthanded they were devastated by a 20-4 run and never got back in it.
Knox Foley 80 – Derek “Slim” Chance 60
Ray Richey vs. Jaquan Case: Jaquan was a big underdog for this game, so he hired Steve Luhm to be his coach, as Luhm had experience with dealing with Richey in the past. Luhm’s game plan frustrated Richey, and Jaquan looked like he had a good shot to pull off the upset with a 5 point lead at halftime. It all fell apart in the second half though, as Richey reached his boiling point and slugged Luhm in the face, just like 10 years ago. Luhm ran off the court crying, but with the ensuing technical foul shots, Jaquan still had a 6 point lead. But inexplicitly, with 10 minutes to go Jaquan had an epiphany, thinking that maybe it would be an awesome challenge to try taking up professional hockey. With his lack of focus, Richie went on an 18-3 run, and that was the ballgame.
This kid isn’t mean or delusional like some of the last characters that they’ve introduced (adult HvB, Chet, Bobby Howry, TCFS girls, Demarco, etc.) , but he is one of the biggest goof-balls to make an appearance in GT in years
The Larks are resplendent in red for Gil’s latest State Champion team. He needs a new GIL mug to display in the caddy shack at the Club this summer, so he plans on coachin’-em-up.
Is this going to be the main feature for the spring? All the weird ways The Mayor eats breakfast on the way to school? Actually might be more intriguing than anything else we’ve seen this school year.
And speaking of intriguing, Mopped Up Thorp’s take on this is rather intriguing: https://moppedupthorp.wordpress.com/

P1, And he was taking a Knappe?
P2, What about what he was smoking from that other baggie?
P3, Yeah, that massive bicep is why Gil has you in the outfield for your speed.

In all reality , keep your eyes focused on the the road never mind what’s going on in the the backseat. Didn’t Thorp teach you that in Drivers Ed ?

P1- Hiawatha James mulls over another season of rubbing and scrubbing. Enough friction to cause a rash.
Home plate umpire for today’s game is Bruce “Eggs” Benedict.

You must have a very uninteresting life if you thought this was a story you must share with all your teammates.

What would have been cool is to have Teddy Demarco and his bag of pranks be the starting pitcher.
