Must be Arizona. The don’t believe in social distancing, or anything else to fight the virus. It’s a GOP state, and they’re waiting for Trump’s promised miracle: “It’s gonna disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it’s gonna disappear.”
Not sure of the other libraries across Canada and the USA but here you can log in with the local library, use your card number, and get a loan of e and audio books. I’m just finishing my last physical book and preparing for something completely different.
Here I am trapped all alone with the love of my life, my personal library of my favorite books, and a internet full of music and videos. Oh woe is me. What will I do?
Public Service Announcement: unless you live in Flint, MI, tap water is safe to drink. There is no need to buy bottled water. It may be a good idea for hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and similar disasters where the water supply could be compromised, but not in this situation.
So save that space in your living room for another couple of pallets of toilet paper. A 10-year supply is not enough.
It’s not clear whether he means reading it or writing it (so THAT’S what all those people were doing with those laptops). Either way, I miss bookstores/espresso bars. So many will not be able to recover from this crisis.
Right now, the menial laborers in India are making their way from the big cities where they were employed to the villages they came from. There is no public transportation and many of them have no other way to get home, which may be up to 500 miles away, other than to walk. They have no way to pay for food or lodging in the city, so their family home is their only choice. AND, they might be carrying the virus with them back to their home town. When you have to drink homemade coffee and binge watch stuff that bored you the first time, count your blessings.
