The way I figure it, you remember your past lives right up to the moment that you draw your first breath in the next.

I’m also reliably informed that giraffes give birth standing up, and the newborn calf drops six feet to the ground. The jolt of landing is what startles them into starting to breathe.

Which means that when you’re reincarnated as a giraffe, you have just enough time to see the ground rushing up at you and think “Oh, God, I’m a giraffe!” before your memory of that panic is blissfully cleared.

I can understand (in principle if not reality) recalling one’s past lives, but future lives?

I had to go to a different comics website, but a comic called Dustin explained all the hidden objects—apparently several cartoonists are doing this today. If you find an explanation in GoComics, please point it out for everyone. Thanks.

One reason I enjoy the comics, especially NS, is that the comments often show me things I miss or explain things that are new to my experience. And, after 8 decades or so, there are lots of both. Thanks to all the above.

For all the dangers of CV-19, if what remains afterward are these same feelings of gratitude, we will have won something for ourselves – empathy and respect for those we have often taken for granted. Prayers for each of them and their families as well as for those stricken.

At least we’re paying attention ! Steering wheel etc.
