My issue is clicking on what I want as the page is almost loaded, the page shifts as it finishes loading and I’ve clicked on something else, often an ad.
Ad blocker is fine until you come across a site that tells you to disable your ad blocker. It is one of the last things to load and blanks out the rest of your screen. If you time it just right, you can reload the page, and before the “remove ad blocker” notice comes up, hit CTRL A, (copy all) then paste to notepad, at least I can read what I went there for.
The comic panel HUMAN CULL invited readers to send in their pet peeves, the artist created a panel from the idea submitted…today’s Brewster topic was one of my entries…..unfortunately HC is only reruns now….
There was a “trick” described in an article I read this morning that apparently can bypass many ads and even paywalls. Now that it’s known, it probably won’t work for very long. Simply add a period after the end of the domain name in the URL box (example “.com/content” becomes “.com./content”). I have tried it a couple of times on pages that were giving the content, but popped up a non-intrusive box about subscribing. After a reload with the period added, the box did not show up.

On some sites the ads come and go continually, and any text I’m looking at jumps around, becoming very hard to read.

get Adblock to stop all ads. Pay by the honor system. 14 million adblock-users can’t be wrong.

Some sites are so incredibly frustrating that you learn to avoid them. Click bait sites are the absolute worst.
