This is another reason I’m glad i never married. If i had and my wife wanted to go to the opera. The only way she would get me there is to hire a army to drag me there kicking and screaming.
HEY! ….. I like the opera. Anything to get out of this COVID-19 self-confinement. And being with someone in a low tight dress and smells a whole lot better than I do would also be very nice too. Also unlike Shoe, I don’t smoke. So no cigar stink, should be a plus I would think.
When a Wagner opera is done, the audience is not clapping in appreciation for the performance, but in appreciation that the performance is finally over.
I wouldn’t mind going to the opera! As long as I can go to the nearest Night Club and enjoy some local music! Jazz! Independent! Ooooo! How about a Metallica Tribute? (I could never afford going to a real Metallica concert!)
Wagner is not for newcomers, watch Daughter of the Regiment, or Elixir of Love, funny great music, or for some of the prettiest music ever written, La Traviata.

When you’re yelling for a female singer, the correct term is “brava.” “Bravo” is for the male.

Overheard at a symphony: “Don;t stare at the trombones, it only encourages them.”

Like at a Bruce Springsteen concert… 5 hours later… the crowd: PLAY ONE MORE!
