at least Calvin showed some concern for you, Dad.

Mom hid the aspirin from Calvin.

There’s no sense of going along the kid’s imagination.

Not a good father: having a small child, at certain times, means interacting with him as if the parent was his age .

Dad missed a tender, bonding moment with Calvin.

Actually, the inhabitants of a region in India called the Sunderland do wear those masks in order to confuse (yeah, right!!) tigers that stalk them from behind. Doesn’t work all the time though!!

Remember when it was aspirin and not acetaminophen (or paracetamol if you speak the queen’s English)?

I’ve heard painting ‘eyes’ on a cows’ butt can help.

Just wear the mask Dad, you can always take it off in the car….

Even when Calvin tries his best to be nice, it’s no good. Poor kid.

The second stage of his plan is to scatter aspirin around the house to repel tigers.

I’m sure this family goes through aspirin like it’s water!

Calvins dad is going to need a stockpile of aspirin for 2020.

which reminds me…I need to go by the pharmacy and pick up some later today!

Awww, Dad. You could humor Calvin and wear it for an hour or so. Don’t you want to get your Dad-rating UP? I think you were low in the polls last we heard.

For dad, ‘Aspirin’ is code for birth control pills.

If Calvin’s dad would just humor his son, he might be able to create an actual relationship and help Calvin mature. Just sayin’.

Something stronger than aspirin; like gin.

I see Calvin moving into a mental institution when he grows up.

Need more than over the counter drugs to deal with Calvin…..

Adults would learn more if they first learned how to listen to their children, then to their own imaginations.

Calvin just needs to meet the little aboriginal kid from the God’s Must be Crazy (II?) – they can discuss the relative merits of wearing a mask on the back of your head compared to making yourself look bigger holding something on the top of your head.

Ya know, humoring your kid will endear you to him…

Calvin’s a pain in the ass-pirin all the time.

What do Calvin’s parents tell the 2020 Census? That would be interesting to see a strip showing them struggling to remember their own names!

How much did we order last time? One gross of bottles, 500 count each bottle?

I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago, but it bears repeating: there are times when Calvin’s triple-Gary-Busey-bat-guano-crazy, but there are also times when his parents could stand to unclench a little.

Once Hobbes can really come to life and support Calvin’s claims.

I don’t think it has occurred to Calvin that Hobbes NEVER attacks the grown ups….

I think it’s real thoughtful of Calvin to make his folks masks to protect them from tiger attacks. He’s showing how much he cares for them. It’s sweet.

Dad fails to appreciate that Calvin is such a thoughtful child.

They should Costco with how much aspirin they likely use in that house.

Some folks just don’t deserve kids.
