Is it just me, or do these toothbrushes, out of all the monstrous things we’ve seen in this strip, do these little plastic utensils seem the most menacing? I got a chill of horror from today’s strip. Something really bad is about to happen…

Ok…back to being creepy again. I think the “Mind” is checking out its new form( looking ? at its hands, feeling ita face). Maybe it’s never gathered together so many bits before.

In the first two panels, Toothbrush Man seems surprised to find he has arms and hands.

That’s a lot of tooth brushes. I mean it could have been worst. It could have been the dimension of a dark room with Legos on the floor.

Wasn’t there an episode in which the toothbrush mob actually asked for help? Yes, at the moment, it appeared to be “bait,” but please!

Must all mutants and monsters – even toothbrushes – be the enemy?

This is almost like role reversal for our crew! Mutants Wally and company are now the “death to all (toothbrush) mutants – just like topsiders in their own world?

I hope this is not just another Godzilla romp.

Not that Godzilla was a romp when the Japanese first made it. But we sure made a mess out of Godzilla.

And I fear this is turning into just such a mess.

Uh-oh, I have a bad feeling about this. In panel 2 and 3 I think it (he? she?) is calling for reinforcements. They’re everywhere! They’re everywhere!

I think we’re about to see “the attack of the 60 foot toothbrush man”.

Oh, this is bad… look at the astonishing number of those toothbrush entities. Our stalwart crew needs to get off that island/out of that reality NOW! I know they’re working on accomplishing exactly that, but it’s even more urgent now that those things are massing together.

Wow. When the toothpaste company sends its hit brushes after you they don’t fool around…

Does anyone else wonder why toothbrushes, of all things. Tinker toys, bricks, nails, might be more likely. Is this a CVS nightmare?

What happens to the toothbrushes after 3 months?

Might be wildly out, but the second panel actually looks like a Topsider. Duplication or manifestation? Could mean the hand signs are horror (or even exasperation) rather than curiosity. Implications possibly abound.

Anyone else notice that the humanoid form that the toothbrushes make in panel 2 looks like a topsider?
