Seems like those bags are only good for about a week. I’d hate to see the slime pile after a month. *helpful hint — if you do buy the bagged salad, purchase the ones that seem like there’s no air in the bag, those are the freshest; the ones that are getting puffy are already outgassing (and starting to break down).
The smell might just be coming from that… HA!… you thought I was gonna say: “that-weird-little-yellow-alien-bug-looking-thing” but I didn’t, cause I was thinkin’ it coulda been bad sushi or sump’n!
I do that all of the time too. I always have these big plans in my head for what I’ll do with it and it never fails…I’ll make one or two salads and then the rest goes to waste.
One trick that seems to help (at least with the plastic container ones) is to put a paper towel on top of the greens… it keeps the condensation from gooing it up

I don’t know why you would buy so much roughage anyway. You eat FOOD, not WHAT FOOD EATS! :D

This sounds like my gf. She buys LOTS of salad, but only eats some of it. So we end up throwing it away.

I guess she’s not in her salad days anymore.

Never know how long the salad has been in the bag anyway. Checking the expiration date doesn’t always work. Grow your own.

That’s kind of like buying all that exercise equipment, and then hanging things on it. And then it just gathers dust.

On the shelves it looks like only milk and maybe a leftover casserole so there must have been a lot of takeout or delivery.

Why does she buy the bag of bugs brand?

We eat salad regularly, buy ‘fresh ones’ and some still go bad on us….all brands.

Bleep can finally answer that burning question that plagues all of us…..does that light stay on when the door is closed or not?

Those bagged salads practically go bad as you watch them, once They are opened.

It must be pretty warm there, I see Bleeb is trying to keep his cool.

I buy heads of lettuce and it stays fresh a lot longer than the bagged stuff. He’s right: used the bagged stuff up the day it’s bought.
