Unless you’re allergic to glutens which, fortunately, I’m not.

Even gluten sensitive people can still enjoy the aroma

Oh I love love the smell of it too guys and even better eating it.

Unless it’s from the Subway chain in Ireland where it was ruled that the ‘bread’ is not really bread:

London (CNN Business)Bread in Subway’s hot sandwiches contains too much sugar to meet Ireland’s legal definition for bread, the country’s Supreme Court has ruled.

Bakeries have been punished by the EPA for making too much smell.

And freshly popped popcorn

And chocolate!

Well I’ve never had man made bread that isn’t made with yeast. I’m old fashioned, I’ll stay with the man and yeast made bread, thank-you.

And the smell of bacon cooking along with fresh baked bread. Life don’t get any better than that.

And the music of Handel, Schulz’s Snoopy—the list goes on and on and on!

Yep, every 72 hours my home smells like fresh baked sour dough bread!

My husband’s grandfather had a shop next to a bakery. He said the aroma each orning was so wonderful. I agree – freshly out of the oven bread (any pastry) is about the best thing in the world.

The aroma of bread followed by an ice cream sandwich – the world’s most perfect food.

My wife’s chocolate-chip cookies too. Man they’re good!

My favorite memory of smells is getting home from school to Mom’s fresh baked bread, slicing off two slices, putting home made butter on them and covering that with home made jelly.

Beer!

Cinnamon buns are awesome roll models.

And freshly ground coffee.

when I lived in Memphis I would plan my routes to pass the Sweet Heart Bread factory if at all possible, ah, memories!

During the short time that i was experimenting with long-haul i picked up a load of yeast from the Fleischmann’s factory. The whole town smelled of bread.

ahh! love the smell of freshly baked bread (even gluten free bread) and I love the smell of a freshly mowed yard or hay field.

Truer words have never been spoken!

My niece was about 12 years old and came in while I was baking bread. She said something about the awesome smell and I kind of shrugged it off. She asked whether I didn’t smell it while I was baking, and I explained that once I’m around it awhile I don’t notice it unless I go out and come back in. She looked at me and, with perfect 12-year-old wisdom said “Oh. I’d go out and come in A LOT!!”

Tom – This brings back precious memories of our Grandma Sandberg. On behalf of Henrieta Sandberg, we should honor her memory. Of course, we were all blessed with wonderful parents. I enjoy Frank and Ernest. By the way, Grandma Sandberg’s coffee cake is still my favorite. Your cousin Dave

And yet we had a Franz bakery in Eugene once that had to relocate because apparently baking bread put toxins in the air!

At work when the wind blows from the Southwest you smell the bakery. Wind bows from the Northwest you smell the dump.
