    Good morning™, impatient readers!

Okay, introductions are done. Now, what has he got in his office? The kids are just all smiles to have actually met him in person.

    Good morning™, stallers !

Will his office contain something that will give insight on their lady killer or will it just be promotional items ?

When dressed as Sven does Rich Koz (in real life) want to be referred to as Svengoolie?

I must say, this story line is capturing my attention better than anything else in DT this past year! Of course it’s fantastical, but my impression of DT is that it has always been that way in one degree or another.

1- DIRECTOR: Finished my crossword! That’s a wrap.

2- SVEN: Uh oh How’d you figure out it was me who prank called you, Tracy?

DT: Huh? What prank call? I’m after a vampire killer and I figured vampires would probably hang out here with your bats and all. And I brought the kids here as “fresh blood bait”. That’ll get ’em out here and talking!

3- SVEN: Ai yi yi! Sure! Brilliant! They’re all hanging out in my office. I’ll, uh, go get ’em. Stay right here. Psssst. Hey camera lady, bring my car around

I like Sven, but he better have a picture of – what’s the killer’s name again? oh yeah – Stokes putting the bite on someone to justify a whole weak, eh, week of this!

Let’s see…today is Wednesday…third day of the “work week” and 4th day of a “Daily/Sunday strip”

Today’s strip is a waste of time, yesterday’s strip was a waste of time, and Monday’s strip was a waste of time too….

Gee, i think i see a pattern forming here.

We could LEGITIMATELY have cut this whole week down into a three panel offering on Monday.. panel one Tracy and the two girls in the car, panel two, arrival at the studio, and panel three today’s offering.

that would have given us TWO WHOLE DAYS TO ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING!!!

But nooooooo… that’s not how mike works.

Y’know.. you’d think by NOW I’d be used to the fact that Mike’s storytelling capabilities sputter out after the introduction of the story. Great beginnings, intriguing and, dare I say it, ALMOST fun to read… then by week two everything goes down the toilet faster than Jimmy Choo Shoes in that lake

    Apropos of nothing…

Erik Larsen, apparently, has dropped a satire of Dick Tracy that tackles George Floyd, among other atrocities. Trouble is, outside the premise there’s no punchline.

Back in the day Tracy would run into bad cops and throw ‘em out. Too bad he isn’t working Kenosha.

That was a fairly impressive piece of satire. Do you know anything more about it?

Memory check: Does anyone remember the last time these guys had an interesting original villain in this strip. It’s been over a year I think.

    DT: “…and her friend Annie.”

Svengoolie: “Annie? The ‘Little Orphan Annie’ Warbucks?!? I should have realized from the eyes! How do they work looking like that?” LOL j/k

Guess what boys and girls? He’s go Elvira back there in his “office”. I really don’t think the youngster’s need to see what goes on back there!

I wonder…could Svengoolie’s Berwyn have been inspired by the location mentioned here:

It’s good to see Sven in studio [though currently he’s holed up and doing the show remotely due to the ’rona) and to see the Tweeners admiring their opportunity to be there. But I am more interested in seeing what he has in his office to show Tracy! Tomorrow, tomorrow….
