Ha ha! Pannel 2, where she’s holding the walkie T. like dirty laundry! And now the whole school can hear Spud’s feelings, echoing through the HVAC. Love it!
Amelia, my dear, let my words ring true …For I know there is still pumpkin casting yet to do …And a smash and smile and the rare whooooo …Then perhaps after, just maybe – I can have lunch with you …
The scansion of the poem leaves something to be desired, but I heartily approve of the concluding line. Garlic bread with cheese (and some bacon) was the food of love for my husband and myself in the early days of our relationship.

Spud, your poem has been eaten by a coyote and heaved off a cliff.

Amelia skipped the class on how to “let’ em down easy” and went straight to “stomp on their heart until it’s ground into powder”.
Been there, Spud. Move on because for every jerk there is a psycho looking for you too.

And just when you got her using the walkie-talkie, you had to go and spoil it, Spud.
