Those are pretty heady aspirations.

There are many ways to be selfish, Sally. One is demanding applause for your every word and action.

I’m with Snoopster on this one.

She’d be running in an uncontested election.

With great sacrifice, comes great ego!

So she wants to be idolized for Christmas.

I see that she is looking for a slice of humble pie. But will she get it?

Sally wants to rule the world. Cue up “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay. At least Sally did not start a cult movement in the strip but in real life I could envision her being involved in a multitude of different organizations which Leah Remini and Liz Vargas have covered extensively on various A&E TV shows over the past few years.

“Well that’s enough talk about me. Let’s talk about you. What do you think of me?”

If nobody gave any presents for Christmas, a lot of stores and companies would go out of business. Many stores lose money 11 months of the year, but make it all up in December. The same most likely applies to the manufacturers of the products that they sell.

An ordinarily greedy kid asking for lots of toys would be more tolerable.

How dedicated is she to this minimalist Buddhist lifestyle? How long will this train of thought last?

I actually am like Sally — sort of. I’ve asked my family not to get me anything for Christmas, but it’s mainly because I just don’t give a flip about the holiday.
