    Did he say ‘hold the correct sign only’, or just ‘hold the correct sign’? I can hold them both at the same time. Together the message being sent would be ‘Men working hungry. please help’.

    Are there indeed still people working by holding a sign into traffic to warn there are (other) men actually working? How does this make sense – other than having a kind of rolling duty roster to have everyone doing it for a little relief?

    Believe it if you want or not, I was once hard at work and this guy with a yellow helmet approached me and asked if he could “Borrow five bucks for lunch, And as I peeked at his work boots and at the helmet he immediately said this, “I’m working at the building across the street and I left my wallet at home” I felt awkward and just five him fThree dollars and never heard from him again
