Carrot stew is wonderful. Just but the carrot in some water bring it to a boil, add some salt and pepper with a bit of celery and cut in some onions with a couple handfulls of rice and maybe break in a couple eggs. If you can scrounge up some fish or crawdads you have a great meal.
Perhaps he is a great archer but shooting a root vegetable did not make the history books and it was William Tell who got the credit for shooting fruit.
