Maybe from here on, they can concentrate on the virus and the other events, such as the 500+ children separated from their parents by Trump’s foolishness, or the growing homeless population, or the lack of a stimulus bill to help reduce economic stress on families, or so many other things. Also would not mind a reduction in tv advertising. Yep, I know it’s a major source of income, but nowadays the news is more like a drive-by buffet. Too little time for large samples.
Watched a bit of Fox last night.. Tucker was asking for truth.. appealing to stop all the lying. So yes, pretty sure we have seen the end of fake news.
I find a good clue to the veracity of any printed news item is the grammar and spelling; if the writer seems not to know (or care about) the difference between “there,” “their,” and “they’re” or “to,” “too,” and “two” and an editor didn’t catch it in the copy – chances are more than middlin’ that the content is useless. For broadcast items, the number of adjectives or adverbs used is inversely proportional to the amount of truth contained therein.
I still take the position that “fake news” is presenting something as news that’s not; like most “news” about celebrities. Telling falsehoods is just LYING and really shouldn’t be acceptable as free speech.
Right wingers are so deluded they cannot accept that the Donald lost from Fox ‘news’. We need to guard ourselves from these unAmerican right wing morons.
Unfortunately, Trump and his conspiracy-minded media will continue to deluge us with fake news for a long time. But the good news is, when they are no longer in power they can be largely ignored.
Everyone is focused on Fox but Sinclair Broadcasting has and is buying up Fox local stations spewing misinformation and lies, Newsmax is out lying Fox 24/7 and the right wing emailings and websites are worse, and all they seem to want appeal to are people who cannot poop, get it up, or want to buy gold.

The only fake news (with very rare exceptions) was “Fox News” which isn’t. Some folks used the label but they (mostly) lied.

There are still more than 70 days, and there’s gonna be a lot of fakery coming out of the White House in that time. The coup attempt is not over.

Remember, the media rarely lies, but seldom tells the truth.

Will Faux News have to go “underground” where they were before 22016?

You should take the news from all of the networks with a grain of salt. When it comes to FOX you’ll need the whole shaker.
