I am surprised Lio’s Dad is not in the final frame sleeping off his bender from an earlier strip as one of Lio’s interests is getting the old man up after he knocked back a few too many!
My sons and I once acquired a badass amp and some big speakers, and hooked them up to a PCvideo game ..that had very good sound effects (Descent 1994 or so). the sound effects of cannon fire and screaming engines rocked the neighborhood for a few minutes. We all laughed about it, seeing people peeking out.. and shut it down. I was the responsible adult and feigned ignorance, saying it was the next block over.. I did later see the police going down that area later.

I’ve heard of amplifiers blowing out speakers. Those speakers would blow out an amplifier.

Turn it up to 11. It’ll set the little drummer boy on fire.

When he is old enough to drive he can put these in the trunk of his Mustang and aggravate people at stoplights, drive-thrus, and car washes.

I think the guys in the dorm room next door to me in college had those same speakers.

Probably not loud enough to drown out the sound of illegal fireworks in my neighborhood.
