But even a ton of vitamin C will NOT protect you from the terrors of the holes in the road!

Getting wet… all the way to your skin. Reminds me of delivering in winter rains.

If she is going to bike in the rain, I hope that she has good tires in case she has to make a sudden stop!

I used to run 5 miles a day. One nightI got caught out in a thunderstorm and got soaked. It was about 75 degrees out and it felt refreshing although I normally like to take my shower after I run.

The was another occasion, years later when I got caught in a rainstorm. The temperature was about 45 degrees. My sweats did keep me warm, but the run was more difficult as I gained 20 pounds during the run.

I loved riding my bike in the rain! We would also ride in the light snowfall.

She even rode her bicycle in the rain. So I say that only proves that she’s insane.

Rerun’s big brother was named after Linus Pauling, the author, biochemist and peace activist who first promoted taking Vitamin C as a cold preventative.

I bet Linus and Lucy had to ride that bike, as well.

Take just one Airborne tablet, and you’ll never have to worry about a cold or a Vitamin C deficiency ever again!

OK all you, “well I played in the rain all the time!” people! It’s winter! It’s a very cold rain hitting him in the face! You all must be in the “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger” camp.

Rerun is probably the best sarcastic Peanuts character. I love him so much, can I adopt him?

I remember seeing Scandinavian parents, out in really cold temperatures, cross country skiing with a tether around their waist connecting to kids maybe 2 or 3 years old – barely able to stand up – who had these really fat kid skis on getting towed through the frozen forests. Definitely bundled up – but still with little frozen snotcicles. I’ve seen plenty of moms with kids in this sort of seat or more commonly recently one of those little attached “bike trailers” with little kids cruising through the streets of Dresden or Munich in the rain on the way to wherever. I would be watching from the window of my taxi – but they were out there. I’ve seen rural French kids throwing mud at each other in the rain while on a walk with their parents through an orchard. That one I saw through the window of restaurant I was having lunch in. There probably should be some kind of term for “cultural calibration”. I certainly grew up more or less indifferent to weather for things I was doing. The only thing I remember rain stopping me from doing was mixing and pouring concrete with my dad.

I used to ride my bike in the rain. Of course that was going to, and coming home from, school. As unpleasant as it was, was faster than walking in the rain.
