And Mitch McConnell is obstructing congress. An evangelical preacher and a conservative Republican who ranted about homosexuality are both found to be gay. 98% of New Years revolutions have bit the dust. And the Groundhog Day movie ends the same way again.
I think it’s supposed to be Vince Lombardi, the coat, the hat, the green staff tag for the Packers, and he’s was the 1st person to take back-to-back teams to the Super Bowl.
Ah, the Browns’ blues, I know them well. On the bright side, it’s likely no one will drag you out of your bed, to see if you cast a shadow. I did see a fuzzy full moon today arouns 7am.
As to the Detroit Lions every season for them is Groundhog day each and every season. Now that Stafford is gone like Bobby Lane they have guaranteed themselves to be permanent losers.
There is apparently a reason the Browns are not in the Super Bowl. They had their chance. I’m a Lions fan, how about giving us all this undue Browns sympathy!!
It’s much easier to catch the whole Gestalt of a strip like this when you read it online. In my local paper it’s all black and white and printed in a tiny size to boot. I didn’t even notice the tag, never mind the green color. On the website it’s an “Aha!” moment.
being from the CLE…. you’re comic’s killing me…..( i’m hoping to see the Browns in a Superbowl and the Indians winning a World Series SOMETIME in my lifetime….which has entered it’s eighth decade…) …AARRRRRGGGG……
Hey now, the Browns had a very good season, and played a very good game against Kansas City. Give ‘em some credit! You don’t turn around a franchise overnight, the management has finally realized this, and now there’s a chance I’ll see a Browns championship in my lifetime!

Paul Brown still works on a tight deadline, I’m impressed!

I think the groundhog is just a red herring. I think this is JJ’s tribute to Blanton Collier or possibly Paul Brown himself.

Brady should have been banned from playing after deflate-gate.

I don’t get it. Why the price tag? What the heck is he talking about?

What’s with the price tag? A hint to prevent any dissatisfaction that the joke’s gonna be cheap?

what is the green tag for?

All of that. None of it to even care about.

Funny how the Lions and the Browns were two of the top teams in the 50s, and now both are perennial losers.

Green tag may be his Press Credentials. I think he is pretending to be an old fashioned news reporter.

About the tag: If Arlo is not an old-fashioned news reporter, is he supposed to resemble Bill Murray in the movie?

The Browns and the Lions are just 2 compelling reasons for NFL contraction.
