Garfield got inspiration from Tim Allen. He knew all that can opener needed was more POWER.

An exhaust-driven supercharger would not work at all on an electric motor. Now, if you’d used the engine from one of those competition “Hot Saws”….

Electric can openers are only good for people with arthritis or other joint pain. My husband & I have never had one; we’ve always used a manual. The funny thing is, our left-handed daughter has no problem using it.

Only in a comic strip. Everyone knows you can’t turbo-charge a can opener! They require a supercharger! ;>)

I, too, have started using a new fangled can opener. The Safety Can Express costs $30, a bit high for my kitchen, but it’s amazing. It cuts the very top of the can off leaving smooth edges and the ability to reclose the can for saving unused portions in the fridge. But, sorry, it’s not turbocharged.

Turbo charged can opener? That’s going to make a mess. I am not cleaning that up. Already I have to clean the litter box, the cat dishes, the shedding fur off the chairs, and bathe the cat. This is not right.

What happened? Did Garfield hire Tim Taylor to put a turbo charger on the can opener? If that’s the case, I knew that Tim was incompetent when it came to making modifications on everyday appliances, but this really takes the cake, especially since I actually used to watch “Home Improvement” a lot as a kid.

Just attach a hair dryer to the can opener to activate when the can opener is running. They’ll run in the opposite direction.
