(Alfred Hitchcock) "Tune in tomorrow when a convenient “city utilities” worker will arrive just in time to assist Cheesecake in her plight. But will he encounter the mysterious and horrifying… AUNTIE BELLUM??"
(Horror horn) REEE! REEE! REEE!
“And now, a less mysterious but equally horrifying moment with our sponsor.”
Well, I had my doubts as to whether the smell was going to make it up to the second floor, but I didn’t need to worry about that. It’s good to see that Cheesecake is not as flaky as I was afraid she might be. She’s at Auntie Bellum’s side when called for and she has a mysterious plan!
I wasn’t sure whose bedroom we saw in the first frame on January 18, when the clock showed 3:00 a.m., but the angle of today’s view establishes clearly that it was the aunt’s room.
Auntie Bellum lives! (For now anyways.) I was always leaning more towards an eventual “Mother Bates”-style reveal, but I suppose it is heartwarming that the old gal is still kickin’.
Let’s see: in addition to this, we have Tiger Lily, Pouch and Aquarius all on their own plans, Tracy and Sam with their plan to check on Auntie AND find Tiger Lily. No shortage of things happening in this story!
Looks like a very active Sunday ahead— will we finally, conclusively, unequivocally see Auntie B in her current state? Better be good, too! (Not like I’m expecting Dr. Doom with the mask off, but c’mon, they’ve teased this out the wazoo from day one….)
As long as we’re all gathered here perhaps it’s a good time to think of YOUR plan. How would you evacuate your house? Especially if you have elderly invalids at home? Or even young children still?
Okay, straying again. Where’s Tiger Lilly, was he gassed? Did he get out of the cellar? Will Auntie Bellum resemble that Kid of the Plentys we never see?. Will this wandering narrative ever conclude?. Tune in after the pandemic
I still think that Pouch set off a stink bomb of the smell that’s added to natural gas and that it doesn’t threaten anyone’s life. (I don’t actually know if that smell is non-toxic but am assuming it is.) I don’t think Pouch actually released any dangerous gas. I don’t think he intends to hurt anyone here, just cause a distraction while he searches for the blue balloon.
I am truly astonished that Auntie Bellum does not have: a medic alert button (I’ve fallen and I can’t get up) a motorized wheel-chair. Auntie Bellum “Cheesecake we got to get moving sweetie, great gosh almighty, somebody has a bad case of flatulence. Make a note to take beans off of the menu for the soup kitchen”.
What a teaser! Our first glimpse of Auntie, on a Saturday, and just her right hand!
Thank goodness Cheesecake got back to her in time to offer comfort; but now the coke-sniffing blonde needs to think clearly about an escape plan (not knowing that the whole “emergency” is just a ruse by Pounce to clear the building for his search).
Will we ever see more of Peggy Bellum (like, for example, tomorrow in the Sunday strip)? Will Auntie and Cheesecake “escape” the faux emergency?

Good morning™, panicked but determined !
I have to give our girl perks for seeing this through. Unless you’re way high your ‘sensible’ can cut though the haze to get the job done.

My late mom’s retirement community had emergency cords in every building. This place should have one, too.

Cocaine is a stimulant, so Cheesecake should have the energy for this plan, but might have difficulties with the physical strength.
