Best scenes are when the actor’s hands on the steering wheel don’t match what is happening behind the car as the viewer looks straight through the front seat into the back window.

If they had a dog, Arlo could explain all about the “Best Boy”.

And if the wheel is rotating at just the right speed it’s not moving at all.

So what movie is it? Is it a Hitchcock movie??

With all the technology…, and yet it’s the simple things…. The wheels turning backwards always drove me crazy…. Thanks, Arlo!

Never had a Jimmy cartoon with a cat that I didn’t like.

I see the same effect when using my display on the dash and the camera mounted on the side mirror.

But cats are so unwilling to learn about basic physics!

As opposed to modern digital cameras, which scan an image from top to bottom like a photocopy machine. Which is why aircraft propellers can look so distorted when shot with a digital camera.

Little does Arlo know, but Luddie majored in Film Studies.

I regularly watch Stu’s Show, where he interviews subjects related to screen entertainment history. In the background is a desktop LED digital clock that slowly goes in and out of phase. Probably the camera Stu is using is still on 59.94 fields a second, while the clock is at 60, producing a 40 second cycle.

What about hubcap spinners?
