This strip looks familiar.

Early to bed, early to rise gets to make the first pot of coffee.

She makes the bed and he unmakes the bed, but he makes the coffee. Couples play off each other and find a pattern to life. There is give and take, there must be give and take.

He gets up early to make sure the coffee maker made the coffee and can get a cup while it’s still fresh.

Make the bed, don’t think I have done that, at least not on a regular basis, since I stopped living in a military dorm back in the late ’70’s. Never could get the 1st Shirts around to my point of view that making it was a waste since in 12 hours or so I would be back in it again.

I used to make my bed every day until I got cats. They go back to my bed after their breakfast, so what’s the point?

Why make the bed when it’s going to get unmade later on in the day? Fortunately I’ve resisted that logic when it comes to washing dishes or clothes.

I never turn down the bed. If it’s offered I gladly accept. It’s a heck of a lot better than the couch.

Good of him to turn down the bed. Nobody likes a loud bed at that time of night.

You both rumple the bed by morning. Just saying …

We all know Ludwig drives the bus in this house. I’m sure he gets Arlo up early to be fed each and every day as cats are creatures of habit. Since he’s already up, Arlo gets the coffee going….

We don’t make the bed until it’s had a chance to air out and the dogs are taking a break from their naps.

That and the cats who get hungry about 5:30.

He does his share, especially if they have one of those stupid beds where you have to remove 7 to 10 decorated pillows from it each night.

It is faster to wait for someone to go by bedroom door and ask them for help to make it . One on each side makes it easier and goes faster, Especially when you are putting on new bedding on a F, Q, K size bed

Getting up early is fine if that’s your thing. Shaming someone who doesn’t isn’t.

Arlo is begging to bug Janis with his superiority attitude!

Since I have five cats, making the bed is something I only do when really necessary.

Some people are not morning people. I am not one. But I do find it odd that they go to bed at the same time in this comic, but he is up much earlier. He must not need as much sleep. I would love to be a morning person. I believe they get much more done during a day, but they tend to be a bit sluggish at night. Like after dinner, they are pretty much done with their entire day.

The Mrs has a sleep shirt with a picture of Grumpy on it saying “Sometimes I wake up Grumpy, sometimes I let him sleep in.” There is a version that says “Sometimes I wake up Grumpy, sometimes I let her sleep in.” Maybe Arlo should get that.

I turn it down and I make it to for my sweetie. I’m the early to bed early to rise one.

Getting in shape for what Daylight Savings Time kicks in this coming weekend.
