Zane or Inzane story line to follow?

P1 As if I really need to ask you, you are never at practice or games, whoever you are mister, say, why do people around here call you the Gilfather? Do you have kids?

Is it just me does GilPa’s big silhouette profile creep anyone else out?

P2 You had me at hello Zane. How’s your batsh*t crazy family?

P3 Now that we have chummed the story arc waters with that twist let’s ignore it and get down to business…just because your are a senior, it doesn’t mean you won’t be doing extended time here at GT

In all reality , Look Zanie, I’m a Coach who won a State Championship trying to win another, not a social worker . If you have family problems solve them yourself or go see Corina maybe she can help you . Now get out of here , see you at practice .

Not sure how this relates to last couple days. Are Gary and Debbie, the couple moving to Denver, the parents of Zane? And they didn’t tell him they were moving? Sounds highly dysfunctional to me. Or are Gary & Debbie the parents of some other senior who wants to finish out the year at Milford and will bunk with Zane’s family (which is dysfunctional enough the staff at Milford high can mention it in casual conversation)?

I’m more interested in whether CK will be playing girl’s softball or make the guy’s team.

Yet to be determined if Zanie is a returning letterman or going out for baseball on a whim his Senior year. He has that happy crazy look The Mayor kid had. Does he carry forks and spoons?

But what happened with the library board? The suspense is killing me!

P1, Insane Zane stops by to tell Gil he’s trying out for the baseball team, like he’ll ever see Gil at practice.

P2, Sure are, Coach! My parents are moving to Denver. Party time!

Our baseball coach in high school wouldn’t take any seniors on the team who hadn’t played the first two years.

P 1.5: “….I was talkin to Doug and his boyfriend Vic, and they both said that you let him come and go as he pleased, so I’m hopin’ that this applies to baseball players too….”

Can someone explain the “okay barely gets us started” comment? I’m at a loss. And is Gil showing Zane his latest manicure, looking for compliments? I like how Gil knows every single student’s personal home life situation. Last I checked, he isn’t school counselor and I assume there are privacy laws in his state.

What source of conflict will this one turn out to be? Parents divorced, one remarried? Parent in jail? Zane murdered a family member? Maybe tomorrow we’ll find out the topical, teen-oriented issue of the spring.

And speaking of issues, whoever produces Mopped Up Thorp undoubtedly has a few.

I have to admire this guy. After Gil clearly tried to discourage him in P1 by giving him The Undertaker’s “Rest in Peace” disappearing iris trick, he still wants to play.
