Commenting on GoComics comic strips is also social media. Where would we be without it? Besides, not all newspapers carry the same comic strips.

This almost looks like a cartoon from The Electric Company. Maybe Fargo North, Decoder, can help him find a better word to live in.

Remove the “I vent it” from Negativity and that leaves you Gay.

People generally seem to be unhappy when they compare themselves to others who are somehow more successful, beautiful, rich or otherwise better. Even when they aren’t, really.

Social media would probably die if people were forced to go outside more. Thank god those barbaric times are over. Also, it’s the only place where you can truly like yourself.

So-called “social media” is but one significant part of the problem. George Orwell got it wrong in one respect. (At the time, he couldn’t possibly have had the imagination to have gotten it right.) Big Brother hasn’t forced himself on us and terrified us into compliance, Big Brother has seduced us. His motives are much the same, however.

It works, too! Unless you count commenting on these cool comics.

Someone has referred to all of this as hypermedia, too much information. The brain is addicted to the constant stimulus. And the resulting reponse. Just like those drewling dogs.

If you really want to see negativity, read the comments on the Crankshaft strip. Most of the readers apparently hate it and are very vocal about it, but they continue to read it anyway.

Go comics is social media, but isn’t really negative until somebody makes it political.

I deleted Facebook (as much as anyone can) when tRump announced he was running. I was never on anything else. GoComics is as much as I do.

Yeah, Arcamax does do commenting anymore so I came here.

People need to be reminded that all computers, phones, etc., come with an ‘OFF’ switch.

For me that happens when I turn on social media.

I wish I could quit social media, but it’s a vital coping mechanism.

We need a social media app that is capable of giving an electric shock whenever someone post something that is controversial or in bad taste. The users of this app can send 1 zap anonymously per comment. Think of it as a way to restore civil discourse and to teach trolls and hate-mongers that there are consequences for spouting off without thinking first. Maybe the sender receives a shock as well to teach critical thinking skills. I don’t know. I’m getting tired of all the vitriol being spewed and the uneducated pundits given a voice. I see far too many comments that would result in a slap to the face (at the least) if said face-to-face.
