Just use a bandage to keep it from unraveling too fast. Put it on the inside so the pad is covering the hole. It won’t work forever, but it works for awhile. As I know.

I worked for a guy, briefly, who colored in holes in his socks. Quite the showman.

I know a guy who wore his socks out but wore them anyway as he said no one can see them below your ankle anyway!

I only buy one brand and color of socks, so I don’t have to throw out any odd socks.

I’ve used magic markers for scratch cover on furniture. I don’t wear socks, so not an issue.

When my son was about to meet his new girlfriend’s parents he, too, used a magic marker to color a portion of his white socks black, but to hide a hole in his sneakers…

Hubby knows then it’s time for me to wash it and cut it up for the rag bag.

My husband asked me to darn a hole in in sock once. I just gave him an evil eye. By the time there’s a hole, the entire thing is threadbare anyway.

Who worries about holes in t-shirts? I ‘ve got old colored Tees that have plenty of holes. Haven’t got my moneys worth out of them yet. I used a red one with small holes for a flag (stapled it) hauling lumber, washed it, and wore it the next day.
