Selling video clips and imagery has been around a long time (see paparazzi). However selling a “Tweets” would be a Quote from an individual. Even if not copyrighted, it would still be plagiarism for another individual to use it. However a copyrighted catchphrase (a Tweet) that characterize a person, group, idea, or point of view, can be bought and sold, it’s done all the time. As such it’s nothing new.

Technically – they do exist, in that the electrons and such physically exist in the pattern that leads to the representation on the screen. However, I guess I’ve never been rich enough to be willing to pay a premium for exclusivity.
