When sitting with anyone (including a cousin’s family) at church, I try to sit at least one chair away from them. That’s not because of the pandemic. I just don’t want to be that close._

Eventually the frame of the couch will give and they can sit together.

It isn’t wise to antagonize the person who cooks your meals.

That reminds me of a saying I heard many years ago – “If everyone in the world was fat, we’d all be closer together.”

Early on sitting close together generated heat. Now it just makes them uncomfortably hot.

When we’re in the car, my wife and I often lament on how much we miss having a bench seat up front. It was much more fun driving when we could sit next to each other. Bucket seats are not romantic.

My wife and I sat at each end of a long couch because there were end tables to put our coffee cups.

The FAA has just increased the “average” passenger weight for figuring plane loading. It has been raised 30 pounds for the “average” woman. Think about it in terms of increased national medical costs.

I remember those days, before hubby and I married, we used to walk arm and arm, afterwards he ended that, and not put much effort in yet stays loving, Hubby is taller then I am our walking gaits not the same.

Earl’s just afraid of those knitting needles, as any smart man would be.

If it was as easily done as said, swap out the spacious soda with a love seat. For a reaction. Just won’t be able to shoehorn the cat in between.

I think the old old joke where hubby and wife are sitting in the car(bench front seat) and wife mentions, remember, we used to sit close together. Hubby responds, I haven’t moved

If they sat closer a single cushion wouldn’t be able to stand the strain.

I laughed when I read this. I’ll have to show it to my husband.

What’s needed here is a two person loveseat.

Our three seat reclining couch only has the reclining parts on the two ends. Neither of us wants to sit on the middle section with no recliner. And we couldn’t find one with all three sections as recliners.

What Earl should have said in response:“Because you’re a mean, insulting wife, and I should have left you years ago”.
