Loving the “shaped signage” identifying the ice cream truck and the bait shop. The worm ! Priceless!

Icons, so that anyone, including ones unable to read the words, are able to read the nature of the businesses and the people. They function the same way as the images in today’s panels tell so much without words. We can see into the hearts of these children, revelation… shown… so we don’t have to be told.

Well, there is that one word, spoken by the gull. A Martian word, if I’m reading it correctly. He’s John Gull, probably. So many Martians, including visitors from elsewhere, are named John.

Wallace is really the best of the friends ♡. So selfless that Amelia can’t understand him. Probably the seagull will appreciate just the worms.

The early bird gets the worm, but the friendly gull get ice cream treats

It says here that I can buy 2000 red wrigglers for about $85. Retail. Let’s be fair to the worm guy and call it a 50% markup. And I’m lazy so I’ll round it off to $40 for 2000 worms.

The last time I bought ice cream for the ice cream man for my grandkids, they had treats anywhere from $3 to $6, depending. But this is Snug Harbor, so we’ll call it $1.

I’m figuring Wallace only dug enough to cover four treats, so that’s like 200 worms.

That is a good kid.
