Ow, my spleen! And head, and arm…
Whew! Finally, a strip where Winky was kept safe.
The $100 won’t even come close to covering his medical expenses.
“Into every life a little pain must fall.”
… “But too much is falling in mine.”
I once read a fantasy short-story about a man who a hundred years before wished for all the tea in China. The narrator tells the story has he sits on a strange, odd-smelling hill in Massachusetts.
“We can put that money toward the medical bill.”
“I wish for a hundred dollars.”
A hundred dollars. Way to go, Dr. Evil.
Was the money safe?
I wish for a monkey’s paw, in the Profs face.
Abbott & Costello “Susquehanna Hat Company” skit comes to mind.
Good thing he didn’t wish for a larger amount of cash. Or Gold Bars.
Nice, free safe.

I wonder why winky didn’t ask for $10 billion, but I don’t think his spleen could take a bank landing on it.
But too bad that hundred dollars had to be spent for a spleen replacement surgery.
W.W. Jacobs is on the phone, screaming about “plagiarism”.
Ouch! This wishing thing is painful.
He should have wished for 100 British pounds. It would have made the safe lighter.
A new spleen… $102.
Ironic humor… Priceless.
Did the safe also contain a replacement spleen?
His device should be shaped like a monkey’s paw.
I’m beginning the think the phrase ‘careful what you wish for’ comes into play here.
Did he find his spleen inside?
Yet another cautionary tale about being careful of what you wish for.
Wow. Dr Mel’s wish granter app works just like a Real Genie.
“Here’s your $100. All you have to do is crack the safe.”
