The BOSS has to let people know that she is the BOSS, doesn’t she?

Maybe you should take care of that stuff, Then there would be no reason to nag.

Elly has the nagging down to an art. I nagged with my boys but not to this extreme. I think nagging is a necessity to instill in the kids the importance of responsibility and their lack of will be observed by others, especially at the workplace. Nagging creeps into their subconscious and they incorporate the habit. My boys are not neat freaks at home but they do clean up and tidy up and both have good working habits at their workplace which to me is most important.

Those are your chores kids. If you took care of them earlier, she wouldn’t have to nag you.

Enjoy it while you can. I’d give anything if my Mom were here to nag me right now

She could have made Elizabeth stay home and do her chores before, or instead of, going to the store.

Ok so they forgot the socks in the stairwell. But really mom, you should of seen the place two days before you came back from Vancouver. Socks in the stairwell would have been the least thing on your mind!

There is a fine line between Nagging and humiliating your child in front of friends! The latter can lead to long lasting anger and depression for the child and definitely a strained relationship over the years. That was my experience.

If I were Liz, I’d be singing, “Too much of something is bad enough. I need to know the way to feel to make me wonder…”

    Lynn’s Comments:

The name “Enjo” was for my 5th grade home economics teacher. She was great! The Enjo characters were based on a Japanese-Canadian family I knew in North Bay, Ontario. The scenes inside the Enjo house came from the Masuda’s, as did some of the story line ideas. Asking for their help was both fun and educational.

Elizabeth, that isn’t nagging. It’s trying to raise you to not be such a pig.

Pretty natural request of a child, to learn to consistently manage their space, time and stuff. It’s a responsibility teachable moment.. She is old enough to be managing her self.

My mother was a nag but I don’t remember her ever embarrassing me in front of my friends … but then again, I wouldn’t remember if she did, since I never paid attention to her nagging, anyway.

Elly could have saved the “to do” list until Liz got back from the store instead of rattling it off in front of Dawn. But, that’s not the Elly Style of doing things.

WOW! I would never nag my child in front of her friend like this. What a B_ _ ch Elly is. Everything she mentioned can wait until her friend is not around.

I would like to hear Micheal’s list. Make him brush the dog, better yet, Elly you do it. Brushing the dog could be a fun thing to do with April — you know show her how to take care of the beloved family pet and stop pulling his fur.

Big hit in Ontario, sung by the Canadian equivalent of Donna Summer:

He waits long for the handout

    So long for the handouts

He waits long for the handout

So you better pay the tax

Oh no!! Elly missed the opportunity to lecture her daughter about the value of money!! Whatever will she do?: It appears the answer is:

    2. Run after Elizabeth with a long list of chores that she has to accomplish in order to earn that money she just got from Elly.

How long does the laundry sit around before someone folds it? I guess they don’t worry about wrinkles. And it’s not nagging unless it’s done over and over, in which case it’s probably deserved.
