Well, as normal as things get in Lio’s world…

Cases are on the rise again. This didn’t age well.

We’ve just been told that we won’t be able to enter restaurants or cinemas without a vaccination…

Yeah, No.

The world is less than 25% vaccinated.

In the USA, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Wyoming are all below 35%.

Miles to go before we sleep.

LIE! The Delta variant from India is going to set back our progress in getting back to normal! GIVE UP!

I am hoping for improvement, preparing for no improvement or worsening conditions. I feel very sorry for people who really believe it when they are told the virus is a joke, doesn’t exist, and is just a little flu and then have to go through the agony of finding out they were lied to when they get to the hospital.

Though there are increases everywhere, so far the overwhelming majority of hospitalizations and deaths — more than 90% — are of unvaccinated people.

I hear that’s where the Supremes and the Four Tops will be playing on their current reunion tours…

Don’t think that Lio’s normal world is all that normal.

I was thinking the same a number of weeks ago but with Covid Variant IV: Delta Force, I don’t feel that way anymore. I am concerned for schools (amongst other things) this coming fall.

Here in Manitoba, the vaccinations and consequent falling cases is leading to a major shift this Saturday. Restaurants going from 25 to 50%, indoor and outdoor gatherings…soon the only mask I’ll be wearing is my Lucha Libre wrestling mask I ran across at a thrift. I call myself Gordito Loco!

The more easily infected Delta strain of SARS.coV2 is now running rampant especially in those states with only 44% or less vaccination rates are the cause.

This has been a very helpful, if somewhat discouraging, thread.

I wish the reports would stop counting people who have had one vaccine of a series of two as vaccinated. It inflates the numbers and can give a false sense of progress when it could mean they don’t plan to get the second. Then they are only maybe 1/3 vaccinated. Or less, with delta.
