I wish someone could invent a way to evenly distribute water from the rain we get. Move the water from areas that get too much to the areas that get too little or none – but do it in a way that does it gently (no flash floods, please). Sigh. Only in a sci-fi novel, I guess.
Which drummer is this referencing? I realized looking up Styx that the drummer of the group was the only one I DIDN’T know by name as a teen. Dennis, James & Tommy were the members that I knew. I guess because they were the ones whose voices are actually credited on “Kilroy Was Here”. That was my first album by them. I was 13 when it came out.
