Hubby and I donated our bodies to science. Call the Anatomy Board, and it’s all done.

Of course, Earl, you’re assuming that she’ll want to finish the job…

Our son in law died of brain cancer a few years back. Our daughter got plots and had him buried. She found out, while going through some of his papers later, he wanted to be cremated. Some discussions need to be held.

Opal’s thinking; “If I die first, Earl has a way of letting things lie where they fall.”

Wife and I decided over 20 years ago to be cremated, same as my parents

Simple. Get a big freezer chest. Put it in the cellar. Put Earl in the freezer. S. S. checks continue. Everybody happy.

He couldn’t care less! In the end, she will get her way.

Right, Earl—as long as you go first. My dad always thought he’d exit before my mom, and so did she, and had plans for what she’d do in her widowhood. But it didn’t work out that way, and my dad couldn’t cope with it. He followed her three years later almost to the day. So make some contingency plans, Earl. Hope for the best, plan for the worst. Or just have a nice nap.

That is both sweet, funny, wholesome, and sad all at the same time

Given that statistically Earl will pass first.. makes sense.

But what if she dies first?

I find it a touch endearing.

Take it from experience, “Until Death Do Us Part” is real bull 54 short years later!

Spoken like a TRUE husband..!!

Dangerous statement, Earl. Opal might cremate you and spread you on the lawn, while reserving a nice headstone and plot for herself. The headstone might say “ Earl couldn’t make it here”.

Before my buddy died, he said he didn’t want to be cremated. “Why burn twice?”

What if she goes first, Earl?
