I know someone who is moving to Alaska this month to get away from it all. She’s in one of her dark moods.

Been there. I remember one day watching the sun get up at 10 AM, scrape across the southern horizon and set at about 2 PM.

Are we talking summer or winter? I live around 63N latitude and there is a big difference. Still two weeks to go before the nights start to get longer than the days, just like the rest of the northern hemisphere.

Took a cruise to Alaska and it was all days, never saw it get dark

Mom & Dad made several RV treks to Alaska, usually in July-August. They liked to call at night while the sun was still high, or days when it was warmer in Alaska or the Yukon than back home in Wisconsin.

You can relax and get a glacial.

In mid-September the whole world get about 12 hours of each.
