Endtown by Aaron Neathery for September 16, 2021

Alan is a perfect comic book character. Even in life-and-death crises, he still provides the comic relief. I bet the next strip will be a scream.

Next up: “I’ll jump!…I’ve got a choice?”

This is quite a predicament our troop is in! Topsider Zombies to the front and the back. Will Wally turn into shredding tornado and go ripping into their suits with claws drawn? Will Alan go Captain Obvious on them and baffle them to death? Will SOMEBODY mysteriously show up and save the day? Tune in next time to see…Same CAT time…Same CAT channel!

For the last strip, _ Three Steps Over Japan_ called grabbing by the tail. I vote to give him credit.

“Drones” in front, zombies in the back…hope Terence’s zero gun is ready for action. Buckle yourselves in, this ride’s going to get rough!

And we almost had a “railing kill”. Oh well, guess the brainwashed-siders will have to settle for “normal kills” instead.

He managed to pull an ELEPHANT back? Kid’s stronger than he looks!

Kudos to Terrence for stepping up to help pull Alan (and Wally) back from the edge. He didn’t just stand by and watch them fall.

And now … who or what are those shadowy, glowing-eyed, creepy figures behind them??

Alan wears boxers and they all appear to be boxed in. Is it unboxing day already?

I sense a disturbance in the force……how many shots does Terrence’s zero gun have left?

I hope Duffy still has that amulet.

I wonder how many Alan would have smushed if he fell on them?

Didn’t see that one coming. Now, close your eyes, everyone, ‘cause you don’t want to see what’s coming next, either…

“FUMP” Good sound for an elephant hitting the ground!

Just saw news (Sat. Sept 18) that Aaron has gotten sick again and will be heading to the hospital.

FROM SELINA EUBANKS VIA THE ‘ENDTOWN APPRECIATION SOCIETY’ FACEBOOK GROUP’…“We’re checking Aaron into the hospital we’re not sure if it’s his leg or something else right now but he’s got a high fever and he’s not doing great.” (Nothing more is known at this point.)

“Duck!” “I’m a peacock!” “No, GET DOWN!”

Everyone peaco— er, ducks and the crowd behind them rushes over and engages the I-Zombies. While they’re fighting each other, the anthros escape.

I hope Aaron gets well soon and proves me right or wrong.

UPDATE ON AARON VIA SELENA EUBANKS.. We are checking out of the hospital today.They’re sitting us up with an infectious disease specialist here in the coming weeks try to figure out something long term. Thank you all again for the prayers and well wishes it’s very appreciated.

I’m pulling for you Aaron! Get well soon, and I hope they can figure something out for you. I know how taxing chronic disease can be. Please hang in there.

Aaron & Selena: You have so many folks hoping and holding on for the best..be well and know you are loved.

Those of us who have been with Aaron and Endtown for years know that a week or more with no new strip (and without warning) bodes ill and we all start sending good wishes and prayers his way, almost automatically.

Somebody left the portal open and the cavalry has arrived: a whole “Weapon Brown” army of every heavily armed toon has arrived to save the day!

Who are all those critters behind them now?

As we patiently await for Aaron to recover, here’s something to ponder: In the third panel, as Alan falls onto his rearside. he appears to be flinging Wally back towards what we see in the fourth panel! Where did Wally land???

I’ve just been looking at the strip again and can’t help but be impressed by Alan’s “Holy Moly”. Even in moments of extreme stress, Alan doesn’t sink to coarse language. I think I’d be uttering a telling curse or two in these circumstances!

Has anyone heard how Aaron is doing medically?
