Reminds me (as this strip has in the past) of the old one about telling the kids they must say something NICE about the visiting lady. Response: “Gee Mrs. Doopenvaffer, you sure don’t sweat much for a fat lady!”

“Like a bat!”

Nelson needs more lessons. Maybe from a better teacher.

Once I asked my grandma why her arms were wrinkly and flappy, she twisted my ear. Now my arms are wrinkly and flappy. Payback!

I apologise about yesterday’s insensitive comment. I probably wasn’t thinking straight. If this part is insensitive, sorry once more. When her children predecease her, a woman can’t be a grandmother either.

As for today’s strip, try again at some other compliment, Nelson.

While it is unlikely or difficult for Gramma to see it as a compliment,

she could see as a compliment since it’s coming from Nelson and …

… she could perhaps view that feature of herself with new insight.
