Obedience classes are as much (or more) for training the owner as it is for training the pet.

Do you (would you really) want your spouse to be trained to obey?

We sent my brother to obedience school but he still drools.

Earl is a hopeless case anyway.

Wait, isn’t there some line about “Love, honor, and obey”?

I took my Yorkie mix Hannah to obedience class some years ago. She learned how to walk me on a leash.

My wife sent me to CAT obedience school. I came back ignoring her more than ever. And now I lick my, uhhhhhh…..we’ll skip that part.

All the rescue dogs we had since 1960 were ‘obedience trained’. We learned much about ourselves & the various mix bread dogs we had. Now in our mid 80s no more dogs. But frequently use the command ‘stay’ when placing something on any surface ..to help us remember where we placed it, or knock it over with hands that sometimes have motions we didn’t intend!

Young Opal looked like Betty Paige. When I got married, my new bride looked like late teen-aged Hayley Mills. That was over fifty years ago, and she’s in the next room as I type this.

Roscoe and the two of you should take the class. Opal, then you can subliminally teach Earl for life.

You could have him take the dog for obedience training on the off chance he might pick up something!

Earl could learn too. He’s nearly as smart as a…..

How does that disqualify him?
