So, I see we have the first “Pleger/Curtis” signature panel, somewhat slimmed down from before. I welcome Shelley in her new role.
I seems that the new media as well as the public are not giving Diet Smith an easy time for this disaster. I wonder what he will do. Also, it sounds like we now have a final death count of three which probably means that remains of Sterling have now been found. At least, that’s my guess.
Will they be bringing “Diet” strained baby food to help him over this latest round of ulcers ?
This could be last call for Smith Industries or the beginning of a new determination to rebuild and do his darnedest to find the cause of the catastrophe.
I have a question for the people who want the Tracy characters to age: Do you want The Simpsons to age too? Did you know that Bart’s had his tenth birthday multiple times? Look at Family Guy: Stewie has had his first Christmas multiple times. Why the different standard? Or do y’all think The Simpsons should age too?
Well it looks like the new artist does a good “classic” Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks. Is this just a cameo, or, will Annie, and, company be making an appearance as well?
1-CNN:Capitalist pig and major supporter of the former guy blew up a city block today in his pursuit of even more money, more money, more money! Hundreds are reported dead or injured…
2-WARBUX: See what Fox News is saying about it. DOIT: OK Click
FOX NEWS:In what was clearly a conspiracy to tarnish the reputation of one of the finest members of the Top 1%, liberals today planted time bombs in and around Smith Industries killing untold thousands…
3-DOIT: What are you telling your people at OAN to say about it?
How do the media know to attribute this explosion to a time drone? Is this coming from that lady reporter? Considering the size of Smith Industries, someone could have left a gas jet on in one of the labs.
Since Diet is in the hospital, milk will be among the beverages he partakes of besides water. Years ago when I first saw him, a glass of milk was always close by.
A few days ago, I said Ace of Spades was packing everything he had in a SUV….well he upgraded to a moving van. The Apparatus is not bound to be happy with the chain of events…their “cash cow” went up in a puff of smoke.
It’s tempting to think Warbucks is there to offer to buy Diet’s “failed company” for 10 cents on the dollar.
But since Warbucks was reintroduced,he and Diet have had a “friendly rivalry”.
“My limo is bigger than your limo”;nothing cut-throat.
Warbucks can offer moral support, but he’s never been an inventor. But he can sympathize.he once had his own little disaster with something called “Eonite”
One move DT can make—Warbucks; HQ are supposed to be in Mexico, but that country’s getting wilder and wilder. He should cut his losses and finally relocate to the USA.
Wondering which direction Mike will go now, from a narrative stand point. Will Tracy & Co. uncover the role of the Apparatus in the explosion & their pursuit if ill-gotten gains, or will the narrative pivot in a new direction?
Good old Oliver Warbucks, performing one of the Corporal Works of Mercy, visiting the sick. Although the wounds he suffered from the explosion may not keep Diet down for long, other Troubles are rapidly piling up for him, and his ulcer may start acting up more noticeably. Maybe Daddy could lend him a billion or two to help tide Smith over while rebuilding his industrial complex and renewing his workforce. I guess Warbucks and Smith are old buddies, maybe members of the same gentlemen of wealth club in downtown Tracyville?
This seems like a good place to start reading modern Tracy again. It’s either this or go back and read 10 years of Joe Stanton (which is also probably a great place to start).

I had already said it, that drone of time, it was only going to be trouble!

Poor Diet, if only one of his good men hadn’t been a bad one…who’s got to prove it was due to an unauthorized experiment on his part?

Good ol’ Warbucks; always dressed like he’s going to the opera.

As usual, the rich hang out with the rich!
Why hasn’t Smith moved himself to a private institute which would allow him to smoke? He’s gotta be going through withdrawal!

This blast may bankrupt Diet, what will he do next?

It appeared that the Apparatus might have accepted the new Ace primarily for his access to the time top. With that absent…

Daddy Warbucks, hmmmm. Is Orphan Annie around the corner?

Kinda sweet to see Daddy and Diet all snuggled up watching TV in a hospital bed.
