On the other hand, I once told my husband he would never go hungry for meat as long as we could afford bird seed and a squirrel trap. So far, we haven’t needed to resort to anything that drastic. I’d probably become a vegan first.
If you can’t beat them; eat them. When I was about 8 a steer chased me on my grandparents farm. Then he was butchered and we ate him. Score one for humans.
I have long thought that squirrel and pigeon would be a popular dog food. Well, at least with the dogs. I feed my dog raw chicken necks or turkey necks. She is 13 and was running and playing with a 1 year old husky at the dog park today.

The fun is in chasing squirrels, what kind of fun would Rover have without chasing? Canned squirrels is too comfortable and Rover will get fat!!

Why do they not have canned mouse for cats?

Found a dead squirrel in side yard and then poof….all that was left was the tail. Glad the 2 outdoor cats had rabies shot!

Would Rover enjoy eating squirrel as much as he enjoys chasing squirrels? Sometimes the fun is in the chase.

Ugh! That reminds me of the frozen horse meat that A&P grocery used to sell as pet food. My mom would sometimes buy it for our cat.

I don’t even want to think about doggie squirrel farts. I am dealing with doggie chicken farts this morning, and squirrel, well…

I love this strip but can anyone tell me if it is supposed to be set in the 1950s or 1960s! Mom dresses like June Cleaver or Laura Petrie.

Seems like a reasonable request.
