One of my friends in high school was like this. He once wanted to make a grilled cheese sandwich, and remembered that his mom usually needed about 5 minutes to make it. So, he put it in the microwave for 5 minutes! I asked whether the word grilled was a hint. For graduation, I gave him the book, “How to Cook Everything” :D
