It’s easier if they’re numbered.
Nelson you are about to get into trouble. But, bet that Gramma will scold you, then tell all of her friends the cute thing you just did. It is known as creativity without the constraints of adulthood.
Roscoe looks happy about it.
I draw on my brother’s face while he’s sleeping…when he wakes up he hits me.
Nelson, if Gram knew what you wanted that pen for, you would have received a, what’s the word…encouragement.
Start with the largest one(s) and work your way down. or
Try to find a pattern. Try to make a shape or shapes.
Me thinks Opal should have asked more questions. Rethinking reninds me of the opinion she would encourage Nelson if she knew! =}
Nelson have fun !
Love Roscoe’s expression
Freeform connect the dots is creative drawing.
As long as it didn’t affect HER stuff, Opal seems to be OK with it!
Made me think of a ‘’Laundry Pen’’, you could run the clothes thru a hundred washes and still read the marks.
If the kid read the Sherlock stories, he could write in ‘’dancing men’’ code.
Lord, Nelson, you in trouble now!
Nelson: pretend you are drawing a treasure map! I am sure Grandpa will have some golden words to say when he wakes up!
My eye always scans for Roscoe in a strip, and this time he was stellar!
What an opportunity for the kid!
Be the ball-point Tommy.
Wow, Earl is sleeping hard! But then, to make this work, he has to.
If I were him, I’d consult with the next door neighbor Dotty Dripple.
“At last!” thinks Roscoe. “Some excitement around this joint.”
And while you’re at it, color in some hair between the dots.
Oooooh……. I got a BAD feeling ’bout this.
Gramma would approve.
By the time this story line is complete, it would be appropriate to give proper credit to the Dick Van Dyke show for this joke.
Roscoe is more excited about this then Nelson.
This reminds me of Calvin using a yellow magic marker to draw in his " hair" after his head got shaved.
This was an episode from Dick Van Dyke, when he had the Liberty Bell on his back.
