Doubleup isn’t here anymore! I guess Tracy is right about the Ace. If he takes off the costume and emerges from the underground tunnels, it will be hard for even the police to recognize him.

Let’s see if the PD caught an Apparatus “executive” who can tell them just who Ace is.

This is why Mumbles was never told about the exit; if he was caught, he couldn’t tell Tracy or any other officer about it. And he did get caught.

I also do not know why Shane does not color the dailies. I wish he would also color the dailies. He is far too better than the MC

P. 3. I can feel the daggers in his eyes and he is only a cartoon. The mopping up proceeds apace. Squeezing these mugs will yield more pus than actual useful information.

In P3, the guy in front is zoned and the guy behind him is wired. Don’t do drugs, MmmKay?

The Ace takes off that mask he could look like anyone, even Dick Tracy!

Tracy’s legs are so short in relation to his body! He looks like Ben Rothlisberger. But the only bullets Tracy can fire downfield are made of lead and seldom hit their target.

Shelley has brought an interesting look to the Dick Tracy toon.

The big raid on App HQ ended up notably short on gripping action sequences, but I guess it’s no more than we should’ve expected after Sam’s bowdlerized shootout with the Jack.

I’m sure there may be some among us who could be thinking that the henchman of color at the forefront of Panel 3 could be Ace, but this strip disproves that:

I somehow doubt that the Ace could switch outfits that fast.

That Ju jitsu move Tracy made on Mumbles came in handy.

Double up and Ace of Spades got away….oh well they’ll turn up in a future Tracy episode to make more mischief. Fortune will have to made the old fashioned way for the Apparatus….time drone is history or as I used to hear it said when I was stationed in Korea….gone….oop so.

Too bad….Mumbles was so well attired…..now the next wardrobe for him will be a prison uniform.

Maybe the woman Mumbles was on a date with will show up at his court appearance to lend moral support.

Finally got my dentures today, and it’s going to take a while to get used to having something in my mouth all the time. Hope I’ll be able to eat Christmas dinner. “All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth…” Well, I got more than that…!

Post-action at the Big Raid on Apparatus HQ. Tracy hands off pitiably ineffective Mumbles to the uniforms (panels 1 & 2) and exchanges intel with Sam, who was directing the raid (panels 2 & 3). It does appear that DoubleUp and Ace of Spades have made good on their getaway attempt, though that is not yet a certainty.

Now what? Back to Smith Industries? Followup with DoubleUp and Ace? I suppose after this action sequence that things will be relatively calm for the next few strips (maybe a lot of “talking heads”)….
